Swing into the 1940’s at The Ivy Harrogate
In honour of Harrogate’s 1940s Day, The Ivy Harrogate is getting into the swing of the era by hosting two 1940s-inspired brunches, as well as offering a limited-edition cocktail.
From Saturday, 15 to Sunday, 23 June, the bar team will be serving up a vintage-themed, bespoke Spitfire cocktail, which has been crafted specifically for the 1940s Day celebrations. Priced at £9.50 and featuring a delicious combination of Remy Martin 1738 Cognac, Sauvignon Blanc, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white, this tipple is the perfect way to celebrate the by-gone era.
The Ivy Harrogate will also be hosting two special brunches on Saturday, 22 and Sunday, 23 June. With 1940s-inspired musicians performing on the outdoor terrace and in the restaurant from 11am – 1pm each day, the brasserie will provide the ideal setting to commemorate the town’s 1940s celebrations. Guests will be able to choose from the brasserie’s delicious brunch menu as usual, with dishes including eggs Benedict, oak smoked salmon with black pepper and lemon, and hot buttermilk pancakes with fresh fruit, Greek yoghurt, lemon balm and warm strawberry sauce.
The Ivy Harrogate’s General Manager, Rodney Prosper, said: “1940s Day is hugely popular here in Harrogate, and to offer our guests the chance to celebrate with us at the restaurant is very exciting. With our speciality Spitfire cocktail and 1940s-themed brunches available, the team and I can’t wait to welcome guests into the brasserie.”
